South Brunswick is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 43,417, reflecting an increase of 5,683 (+15.1%) from the 37,734 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 11,942 (+46.3%) from the 25,792 counted in the 1990 Census. South Brunswick was first mentioned on February 28, 1778, in Freeholder minutes as being formed from New Brunswick Township.
