Long Branch, New Jersey

Long Branch is a city in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city's population was 30,719, reflecting a decline of 621 (-2.0%) from the 31,340 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 2,682 (+9.4%) from the 28,658 counted in the 1990 Census. Long Branch was formed on April 11, 1867, as the Long Branch Commission, from portions of Ocean Township.

Monmouth Beach, New Jersey

Monmouth Beach is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 3,279, reflecting a decline of 316 (-8.8%) from the 3,595 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 292 (+8.8%) from the 3,303 counted in the 1990 Census. Monmouth Beach was incorporated as a borough on March 9, 1906, by an act of the New Jersey Legislature, when it was created from portions of Ocean Township.

Monmouth Park Racetrack

Monmouth Park Racetrack is an American race track for thoroughbred horse racing in Oceanport, New Jersey, United States. It is owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and is operated under a five-year lease as a partnership with Darby Development, LLC. Monmouth Park's marquee event is the Haskell Invitational, named after Amory L. Haskell. The Haskell was first run in 1968 as a handicap, but was made into an Invitational Handicap in 1981.

Monmouth Park (NJT station)

Monmouth Park is a seasonal New Jersey Transit commuter rail station on the North Jersey Coast Line, located in Oceanport, New Jersey, and serving Monmouth Park. There were two stations: a diesel-only terminal station, and an electric-compatible station. The diesel-only stop is closer to the entrance of Monmouth Park where the special Pony Express service terminated, until the 2006 racing season. That service was discontinued afterwards and so this area is no longer used as a train station.
