Columbia Trail

The Columbia Trail is a rail trail in rural northwestern New Jersey. It was created from portions of the former Central Railroad of New Jersey High Bridge Branch and stretches from High Bridge, in Hunterdon County, to Flanders, in Morris County for a total of 16.2 miles . The trail surface is relatively flat and consists mostly of fine crushed stone.

Hunterdon County Arboretum

The Hunterdon County Arboretum (73 acres) is an arboretum located at 1020 Route 31 in Lebanon, New Jersey. It is the headquarters of Hunterdon County's park system, and open to the public daily without charge. The arboretum began as a commercial nursery in 1953, growing both native and exotic trees. In 1974 the site was acquired by the Park Department. It now includes six walking trails with a total length of 2 miles .

Hunterdon County is a county located in the western section of the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 128,349. It is part of the New York Metropolitan Area. Its county seat is Flemington. The Bureau of Economic Analysis ranked the county as having the 19th-highest per capita income of all 3,113 counties in the United States (and the third highest in New Jersey) as of 2009.

Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey

Franklin Township is a township in central Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 3,195, reflecting an increase of 205 (+6.9%) from the 2,990 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 139 (+4.9%) from the 2,851 counted in the 1990 Census. Most of the township lies on the Hunterdon Plateau with only the eastern section along the South Branch Raritan River being on the lower part of the Newark Basin.
