Pixley Falls State Park

Pixley Falls State Park is located off NY Route 46 in Oneida County, New York, 18 miles north of Rome and six miles south west of Boonville, by the community of Hurlbutville. Open all year, the 375 acre (1.5 km) park gets its name from a beautiful 50-foot waterfall, accessible via a short hiking trail. The park offers picnicking, a nature trail, hiking, fishing, hunting (in deer season), and cross country skiing.

Black River Canal

The Black River Canal was a canal built in northern New York in the USA to connect the Erie Canal to the Black River. This canal was only 35 miles long, but it had 109 locks. While driving into Boonville on Route 12, you can see the locks that were once part of the Black River Canal. There is a museum dedicated to the Black River Canal, the Black River Canal Museum in Boonville, New York.

Boonville is a village in Oneida County, New York, United States. The population was 2,072 at the 2010 census. The village is named after Gerrit Boon, an agent of the Holland Land Company. Delta Lake (New York)
