Olean High School shooting

The Olean High School shooting was a school shooting that occurred on December 30, 1974 at Olean High School in Olean, New York, United States. The gunman, 17-year-old Anthony F. Barbaro, an honor student and member of the school's rifle team, indiscriminately shot at people on the street from windows at the third floor of the school building. Three people were killed and another 11 people were injured during the shooting.

Olean High School is a high school located in Olean, New York, about 65 miles south of Buffalo, New York. Olean High School was built in 1905. It is known for its athletics programs. WVTT-CA

WVTT-CA, channel 25, is a television station for the Twin Tiers located in Olean, New York. It broadcasts on UHF channel 25, but the station can also be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 15. WVTT is owned by Choice Tower Rentals and operated by Colonial Media and Entertainment, also owners of several radio stations in the market. WVTT is the only locally-operated television station in the Southern Tier of Western New York, which encompasses the Jamestown and Olean regions.

Bradner Stadium

Bradner Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Olean, New York. The stadium, which can accommodate both baseball and football, served as home to minor-league baseball teams including the Olean Oilers and Olean Yankees. The stadium was built in 1926. It holds 4,000 people and primarily serves as the home stadium of the Olean High School and Archbishop Walsh football teams, although other events are also held at the stadium.
