Cohoes is an incorporated city located at the northeast corner of Albany County in the US state of New York. It is called the "Spindle City" because of the importance of textile production to its growth. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 16,168.

WHAZ (AM)

WHAZ is a Christian radio station licensed to Troy, New York and serves New York's Capital District. The station is owned by the locally-based Capital Media and broadcasts on 1330 kHz at 1 kilowatt daytime, 49 watts nighttime from a transmitter located on Van Schaick Island in the neighboring city of Cohoes. WHAZ's programming is also simulcasted on four FM stations on the fringes of the market.

Peebles Island State Park

Peebles Island State Park is a park located in New York State at the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers. With 191 acres (76.4 ha), the park includes hiking and cross-country ski trails, as well as earthworks dating from the Revolutionary War and a Visitors' Center detailing the island's industrial history. The park offers picnic tables with pavilions, river views, miles of hiking and biking paths, fishing, and cross-country skiing.

112th Street Bridge

The 112th Street Bridge is a bridge that carries New York State Route 470 across the Hudson River in New York. It connects Van Schaick Island in the city of Cohoes with the Lansingburgh neighborhood of Troy. The original bridge was built in 1922 and demolished in 1995. The newer version was completed in 1996.

Cohoes Falls

Cohoes Falls [Kahon:ios, Mohawk for "Canoe Falls"] is a waterfall on the Mohawk River shared by the city of Cohoes and the town of Waterford, New York, United States. Discovered by the indigenous Mohawk tribe, the falls were originally called Ga-ha-oose or Ga-ho'n'-yoos, which is believed to mean "The Place of the Falling Canoe.
