Fulton Chain Lakes

The Fulton Chain Lakes are a string of eight lakes located in the Adirondack Park in upstate New York in the United States of America. These lakes are located in Herkimer County and Hamilton County. This string of lakes begins near Old Forge and ends before it reaches Raquette Lake. They are great for pontoon boats (the most popular type in the area), kayaks, and motor boats.

YMCA Camp Gorham

Camp Gorham is the name of a YMCA summer camp located just north of Eagle Bay, New York in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. The camp is made up of over 1,500 acres with a 400-acre lake. The camp originated as a camp which trapper Bill Darts built for himself in 1879. That cabin is now the main part of the Camp Gorham Cottage. As his business grew, more cottages were built and by 1927 Bill's daughter Emma ran it as a boys' camp.

Alger Island, New York

Alger Island is a small island located within the Adirondack Park, in New York State. The island lies in Fourth Lake, in the so-called Fulton Chain of Lakes. The island is located in the Town of Webb, in Herkimer County, New York. Alger Island was called Deer Island in the late 18th century. It was later called Big Island. Alger Island came from the family name of its longtime owners, father and son Mort and Ollie Alger. Alger Island was purchased by the state of New York on January 16, 1950.

Big Moose Lake

Big Moose Lake, at the head of the Moose River, is a large lake about five miles (8 km) north of Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. It is a popular spot amongst tourists all year round: boating, water skiing and hiking in the summer; cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. It is home to the Big Moose Water Ski Club that consists of residents of the lake.
