Baychester is a working-class neighborhood geographically located in the northeast Bronx borough of New York City in the United States. The neighborhood is part of Bronx Community Board 12. Its boundaries, starting from the north and moving clockwise are: East 222nd Street to the north, the New England Thruway to the east, Pelham Parkway to the south, and Boston Road to the west. Eastchester Road is the primary thoroughfare through Baychester. The local subway is the 5 line.

Eastchester – Dyre Avenue (IRT Dyre Avenue Line)
Eastchester – Dyre Avenue is the northern terminal station of the IRT Dyre Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, at Dyre Avenue and East 233rd Street in the Bronx neighborhood of Eastchester. It is served by the 5 train at all times. Opened on May 29, 1912 as a local station of the New York, Westchester and Boston Railway, it closed on December 12, 1937 when the NYW&B went bankrupt. In 1940, New York City purchased the right of way from the Bronx / Westchester County boundary southward.

Wakefield is a working-class section of the northern borough of the Bronx in New York City, bounded by the New York city line with Westchester County or 243rd street to the north, 222nd Street to the south, and the Bronx River, Bronx River Parkway and Metro-North Railroad tracks to the west. Mount Saint Michael Academy, also known as The Mount, is an all-boys Roman Catholic high school in the Wakefield neighborhood of the New York City borough of the Bronx. The school's campus also borders the city of Mount Vernon in neighboring Westchester County and is administered by the Archdiocese of New York. The 22-acre (89,000 m²) campus is a non-boarding college preparatory school for some 1,100 boys grades 6 through 12.
