Hopkinton is a town in St. Lawrence County, New York in the United States. The population was 1,077 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from early settlers with the name Hopkins. The Town of Hopkinton is on the county's eastern border and is east of Potsdam.

St. Thérèse Chapel and Academy
St. Thérèse Chapel and Academy is a Traditionalist Catholic church and children's school in Nicholville, New York, operated by the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX). The parish community got started in 1986 with SSPX's Father Goettler saying Mass in Lawrence Town Hall. Education of children by the parish also began immediately. Once the parish grew to about 50 people, a temporary chapel was established in 1989. Construction of the academy building also began in October 1989.

The Rutland Trail is a multi-use rail trail extending for 21.2 miles from Norwood, New York to Moira, New York. It consists of portions of the Rutland Railway in St. Lawrence and Franklin counties. The trail starts from Railroad Ave in Norwood, (proceed eastward along the south side of the CSX tracks), and is contiguous to Winthrop, where the bridge was removed.
