Modena, New York

Modena is an unincorporated hamlet in Ulster County, New York, United States. It is located in the northwestern corner of the town of Plattekill, centered at the junction of the US 44/NY 55 concurrency and NY 32. It has the ZIP Code 12548. It takes its name from Mary of Modena, newly wed to James II when it was first settled in the late 17th century. Today it in turn lends its name to a service area nearby on the southbound New York State Thruway.

Tuthilltown Bridge

Tuthilltown Bridge is located in the Town of Gardiner in Ulster County, New York, USA, approximately 1 miles (1.6 km) west of the eponymous hamlet. It carries US 44/NY 55 across the north-flowing Wallkill River just downstream from where it is joined by the Shawangunk Kill, its largest tributary. It is a steel through truss bridge built in 1938 and reconstructed in 1993 The bridge was built to replace a ford, still visible upstream from the bridge.

Hayes Gymnasium

Hayes Gymnasium, completed in 1910, is the oldest section of the current Arvin Cadet Physical Development Center at the United States Military Academy. Originally built as an independent structure to replace the Academy's previous Richard Morris Hunt-built gymnasium which had served between 1891 and 1910, it was part of a large contract bid awarded to the Boston architectural firm of Cram, Goodhue, & Ferguson in 1903.
