Broome County, New York

Broome County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2010 census, the population was 200,600. It was named in honor of John Broome, who was lieutenant governor in 1806 when Broome County was established. Its county seat is Binghamton, which is also its major city. The current county executive is Debra A. Preston. Broome County is also home to Binghamton University, one of four university centers in the SUNY system.

Chenango Valley State Park is a state park located in Broome County, New York, USA. The park is located in western part of the Town of Fenton adjacent to the Chenango River. The park offers a beach, picnic tables with pavilions, an 18 hole golf course, a playground, recreation programs, a nature trail, hiking, a campground with tent and trailer sites, sledding, cross-country skiing, a boat launch with boat rentals, and a food concession.

Chenango Bridge, New York

Chenango Bridge is a hamlet in the southern part of the Town of Chenango in Broome County, New York, United States. It lies where State Route 12A (Chenango Bridge Road) crosses the Chenango River. The population was 2,883 at the 2010 census, which lists the community as a census designated place.

Chenango Ice Rink

The Chenango Ice Rink & Event Center 1,200 seat ice arena located in Chenango, New York. The ice arena is also the home to the Binghamton University Bearcats ice hockey team competing in the ACHA Division I as members of the Northeast Collegiate Hockey League. and was the home of the Broome County Barons playing in Federal Hockey League (FHL), a minor professional ice hockey league but left mis season due to not getting enough income.

Chenango Forks, New York

Chenango Forks is a hamlet located in Broome County, New York in the United States. The community is partly in the Town of Chenango and partly in the Town of Barker. Chenango Forks is about nine miles north of Binghamton on Route 12 and is at the confluence of the Chenango River and Tioughnioga River. Chenango Valley State Park is southwest of the hamlet.
