Winged Foot Golf Club

Winged Foot Golf Club is a 36-hole golf course located in Mamaroneck, New York. The course architect is A. W. Tillinghast, who also designed Baltusrol (Lower), Bethpage Black, Shackamaxon Country Club, San Francisco Golf Club, Cedar Crest Park, and nearby Quaker Ridge Golf Club, Scarboro Golf and Country Club in Toronto and Wykagyl Country Club. Winged Foot Golf Club was founded in 1921, by a consortium consisting mainly of members of The New York Athletic Club.

2006 U.S. Open (golf)

The 2006 United States Open Championship was the 106th U.S. Open, played from June 15 to June 18 at Winged Foot Golf Club West Course in Mamaroneck, New York, a suburb northeast of New York City. The U.S. Open returned to Winged Foot for the first time since 1984 when Fuzzy Zoeller captured his second and final major championship. Geoff Ogilvy won his first career major in one of the wildest finishes in U.S. Open history. He made clutch pars on the final two holes, including a chip-in on 17.

Harbor Heights

Harbor Heights is a residential section of the Village of Mamaroneck in Westchester County, New York. It is bordered by an arc of the Mamaroneck River on the north and east, by the Saxon Woods Park on the west and the New England Thruway on the south. The United States Board on Geographic Names recognizes Harbor Heights as the official common name for the area, which it defines as a populated place existing within the incorporated Village of Mamaroneck.

The New York, Westchester and Boston Railway Company (NYW&BRwy), known to its riders as "the Westchester" and colloquially as the "Boston-Westchester", was an electric commuter railroad in the Bronx and Westchester County, New York from 1912 to 1937.
