Otisco Lake
Otisco Lake is one of the minor Finger Lakes, located at the eastern end of the Finger Lake District, southwest of Syracuse, New York. Otisco Lake is approximately six miles (9.8 km) long. The outflow enters first Onondaga Lake via Nine Mile Creek and then Lake Ontario via the Seneca and Oswego Rivers. The lake is the source of water for a district west of Syracuse. At its deepest point the lake is approximately 60 feet in depth.

Marcellus is a town in Onondaga County, New York, United States. The population was 6,210 at the 2010 census. The town was probably named after Marcus Claudius Marcellus, a Roman general, by a clerk interested in the Classics. The Marcellus Formation is a vast geological layer of shale spanning Pennsylvania, West Virginia and parts of other states and Ontario, which is named for an outcropping in or near Marcellus. The Town of Marcellus contains the Village of Marcellus.

WNYI is a television station in Ithaca, New York, serving the Elmira and Syracuse television markets. The station, now owned by Daystar Television Network, had formerly broadcast on analogue UHF channel 52 before going silent in 2009 as a result of the US digital TV transition. WNYI is rebroadcast in Syracuse on WDSS-LP 38.1, a 15,000-Watt low-power digital television station that broadcasts on UHF Channel 38.
