Massawepie Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, U.S. , and a Boy Scout camp surrounding the lake. Lake Massawepie is located in the town of Piercefield, in southern St. Lawrence County, New York, approximately 12 miles southwest of the village of Tupper Lake, New York. The lake is approximately 750 acres, at an elevation of approximately 1700 feet (520 m) above sea level, and flows south into one of the tributaries of the Grasse River.

Tupper Lake is a lake in New York in the USA. The lake is in the Adirondack Park and crosses the county lines of St. Lawrence County and Franklin County. Tupper Lake was discovered by Native Americans indigenous to the area around the 16th century. The first white man to see it was Ansel Tupper, a land surveyor. Ironically, he later drowned there while fishing because a deceitful Native American named Jev loosened the planks in Tupper's canoe.

Tupper Lake is a village in Franklin County, New York. The population was 3,667 at the 2010 census. The village takes its name from a nearby lake, which, in turn, is the name of a surveyor (Ansel Norton Tupper) who drowned there while fishing. The Village of Tupper Lake is in the Town of Tupper Lake. The town and the village are in the southwest part of the county. Tupper Lake is home to the The Wild Center, a 54,000 square feet natural history center on a 31 acres campus.
