Mechanics' Hall (New York City)

For other buildings called Mechanics Hall, see Mechanics Hall (disambiguation). Mechanics' Hall was a meeting hall and theatre seating 2,500 people located at 472 Broadway in New York City, United States. It had a brown façade. Built in 1803 by the Mechanics' Society for their monthly meetings, it was also used for banquets, luncheons, and speeches held by other groups. The building eventually became a playhouse.

Ross Global Academy

Ross Global Academy Charter School, or RGACS, was a public Charter School located in Lower Manhattan. It opened in September 2006 with more than 160 students. It was closed by New York City and state officials for poor performance in 2011. The school was developed in collaboration with New York University's Steinhardt School and Ross School in East Hampton, which follows a spiral curriculum designed by William Thompson and Ralph Abraham.
