WRNY (AM)

WRNY is an American radio station broadcasting at 1350 kHz. The station was owned by Clear Channel until September 2007, when ownership was transferred to Galaxy Utica as a result of Clear Channel's decision to "go private". The station had been acquired by Clear Channel from Dame Media in June, 1999. WRNY is part of a three station simulcast that includes WTLB in Utica, New York and WIXT AM 1230 in Little Falls, New York. The three stations are affiliated with ESPN Radio.

Rome (Amtrak station)

The Rome Amtrak station is an Neoclassical train station served by Amtrak. It is located on 6599 Martin Street in Rome, New York between the NY 26-49-69 bridge and Mill Road south of the Erie Canal. The current station was built between 1912 and 1914 by the New York Central Railroad south of the city proper to replace the former structure downtown. Such a move was necessitated by a track realignment. In 1988, Amtrak conveyed the station to the city of Rome.

Siege of Fort Stanwix

The Siege of Fort Stanwix (also known at the time as Fort Schuyler) began on August 2, 1777, and ended August 22. Fort Stanwix, in the Mohawk River Valley, was then the primary defense point for the Continental Army against British and Indian forces aligned against them in the American Revolutionary War. The fort was occupied by Continental Army forces from New York and Massachusetts under the command of Colonel Peter Gansevoort.
