Starrett City is a housing development in Brooklyn, New York City. Starrett City opened in 1974, and in 2002, changed its name to the Spring Creek Towers. The neighborhood is part of Brooklyn Community Board 5. Starrett City is patrolled by the NYPD's 75th Precinct. Canarsie is a neighborhood in the southeastern portion of the borough of Brooklyn, in New York City, United States. The area is part of Brooklyn Community Board 18. Canarsie, which includes the entire 11236 ZIP code, is bordered on the east by Fresh Creek Basin, East 108th Street, and the BMT Canarsie Line to Linden Boulevard; on the north by Linden Boulevard; on the west by Remsen Avenue to Ralph Avenue and the Paerdegat Basin; and on the south by Jamaica Bay.

New Lots, Brooklyn

New Lots is a sub-section of the East New York neighborhood in the eastern part of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It was known as the Town of New Lots from 1852 when the area seceded from the Town of Flatbush until it was annexed in 1886 as the 26th Ward of Brooklyn. The population is largely African-American and Hispanic-American. The neighborhood is part of Brooklyn Community Board 5. It is served by the IRT New Lots Line.

New Lots Avenue (BMT Canarsie Line)

New Lots Avenue is a station on the BMT Canarsie Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of New Lots and Van Sinderen Avenues in East New York, it is served by the L train at all times. This elevated station, opened on December 28, 1906, has two tracks and two offset side platforms. The platforms have windscreens and canopies at their centers and barbed-wire fences with dark gray steel frames at either ends.

New Lots Avenue (IRT New Lots Line)

New Lots Avenue is the eastern terminal of the IRT New Lots Line of the New York City Subway. It has two tracks and one island platform, and is the terminal for some rush hour 2 and 5 trips, the 3 train at all times but late nights, and the 4 train during late nights (as well as a few rush hour trains). The station has an active tower and crew quarters at platform level. Railroad south of the station, the tracks curve into Livonia Yard.
