York Street (IND Sixth Avenue Line)

York Street is a station on the IND Sixth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Served by the F train at all times, it is located at York Street and Jay Street in DUMBO and is the only Sixth Avenue Line station in Brooklyn. York Street opened on April 9, 1936, as part of an extension of the IND Eighth Avenue Line from East Broadway to Jay Street; the IND Fulton Street Line to Rockaway Avenue opened on the same day.

Dumbo, Brooklyn

Dumbo, an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It encompasses two sections: one located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, which connect Brooklyn to Manhattan across the East River, and another that continues east from the Manhattan Bridge to the Vinegar Hill area. The neighborhood is part of Brooklyn Community Board 2.

High Street (IND Eighth Avenue Line)

High Street is a station on the IND Eighth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of High Street and Cadman Plaza East in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, it is served by the A train at all times and the C train at all times except late nights. This underground station, opened on June 24, 1933, has two tracks and one island platform. It is the northern-most Brooklyn station for the A and C trains.

Manhattan Bridge

The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the East River in New York City, connecting Lower Manhattan (at Canal Street) with Brooklyn (at Flatbush Avenue Extension). It was the last of the three suspension bridges built across the lower East River, following the Brooklyn and the Williamsburg bridges.

Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, which includes territory that was previously part of the (now) Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, was established as a separate diocese in 1853 when the City of Brooklyn was separate from New York City. The diocese includes parishes in Brooklyn, as well as Queens, which at the time of formation was a rural hinterland of New York City.
