Tar River

The Tar River is a river that is approximately 346 kilometers long, of northeast North Carolina flowing generally southeast to an estuary of Pamlico Sound. The Tar River becomes the tidal Pamlico River once it underpasses the U.S. Highway 17 Bridge in Washington, North Carolina.

WDLX

WDLX and WGHB are radio stations broadcasting a Sports Talk format. Licensed to Washington, North Carolina, USA, it serves the Greenville-New Bern area. The station is currently owned by Pirate Media Group. WDLX was the flagship station for East Carolina University pirates athletics and also broadcasts Carolina Hurricanes games.
