Weeksville, North Carolina

Weeksville is an unincorporated community in Pasquotank County, North Carolina, United States. It lies roughly midway on NC 344, at an elevation of 3 feet (0.91 m). The community is home to Weeksville Elementary School, a Methodist church, gas station, volunteer fire department, Lions Club chapter and county recycling center. Of historical significance are the facilities of the dirigible manufacturer TCom, located on the former grounds of Naval Air Station Weeksville.

Weeksville Dirigible Hangar

The Weeksville Dirigible Hangar (former NAS Weeksville) is an airship storage facility originally built by the US Navy in 1941 for servicing airships in charge of anti-submarine patrolling of the U.S. coast and harbors. Old Trap, North Carolina

Old Trap (also, Oldtrap and The Trap) is a neighborhood of Camden, North Carolina, United States. It lies on North Carolina State Highway 343, at an elevation of 7 feet (2 m). Christ's Sanctified Holy Church occupies a historic church in Old Trap, and still holds special services in the original structure built in the 19th century. A few regulars attend from Camden County, as well church supporters from nearby Norfolk, VA, Raleigh, NC, and Greensboro, NC.

Albemarle Sound

Albemarle Sound is a large estuary on the coast of North Carolina in the United States located at the confluence of a group of rivers, including the Chowan and Roanoke. It is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by the Outer Banks, a long barrier peninsula upon which the town of Kitty Hawk is located, at the eastern edge of the sound. Roanoke Island is situated at the southeastern corner of the sound, where it connects to Pamlico Sound.
