McGee Crossroads, North Carolina

McGee Crossroads is an unincorporated community in Johnston County, North Carolina at the intersection of North Carolina Highway 50, and North Carolina Highway 210. It lies at an elevation of 292 feet (89 m). The community of McGee's Crossroads extends to the intersection of I-40 and Hwy. 210. McGee's Crossroads was made famous by the late Rudolph Jones, when he sat on the State Highways Commissioners as Chairman. Mr. Jones was a lifelong resident of the community and had great pride in it.

Cleveland, Johnston County, North Carolina

Cleveland is a township and an unincorporated community in suburban northwestern Johnston County, North Carolina. It lies at an elevation of 243 feet . The settlement is also known as Cleveland Crossings, Cleveland Community, Cleveland School or 40/42, so named for the intersection of I-40 and NC 42 that serves as the center of the community. There have been several efforts to incorporate the fast-growing community, though the issue was tabled by the North Carolina General Assembly in 1999.
