Rocky Point is an unincorporated community in southern Pender County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Rocky Point is situated on North Carolina Highway 210 and North Carolina Highway 133 and U.S. Route 117, at an elevation of 39 feet (12 m). Rocky Point is located at exit 408 off of Interstate 40.

Castle Hayne is a census-designated place (CDP) in New Hanover County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,116 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Planters and small farmers used slave labor to exploit the region's natural resources. The forest provided the region's major industries through the 18th and most of the 19th century: naval stores and lumber fueled the economy both before and after the American Revolution.
