Sloop Point is an unincorporated community and village in Pender County, North Carolina, United States. It was an incorporated village, incorporated on July 1, 1996 and subsequently disincorporated on July 22, 1998, making it one of the shortest lived municipalities in the state's history, lasting just over two years. Topsail High School

Topsail High School is a High School located in the unincorporated town of Hampstead, North Carolina. It is part of Pender County Schools. Its principal is Berry Simmons. He was appointed by the Pender County School Board on July 5, 2012. He is replacing Marcus Skipper who had been principal at Topsail since 2008 - he resigned at the end of the 2011-2012 school year. Topsail High School is now a North Carolina School of High Growth.

Surf City is a town in Pender and Onslow counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The population was 2,057 at the 2008 census. It is located on Topsail Island. The Onslow County portion of Surf City is part of the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the Pender County portion is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Figure Eight Island

Figure Eight Island is an island in North Carolina, just north of Wrightsville Beach, with approximately 441 homes. It is surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a private island and that can only be reached via a guarded causeway bridge. It has been a popular destination for celebrities and politicians including former Vice President Al Gore, who has rented a house there, and John Edwards, who owns a house on the island.
