New Bern High School
New Bern High School is a high school in New Bern, North Carolina whose students come from the New Bern, Trent Woods, Brices Creek and James City area. It is located in Craven County. The student population is approximately 2,000, and there are 165 faculty and staff members. The 2007–2008 school year was the start of Principal Stuart Blount's term. Mr. Tom Marsh returned to New Bern High School during the 2009–2010 school year in order to take over the reins of principal.

WTEB
WTEB is the flagship station for Public Radio East, a news and information radio network in eastern North Carolina. WTEB was launched in 1984, on the frequency 89.5, at 66 kW. Later the station moved to 89.3 and increased power to 100 kW. The station has won many awards, including outstanding news operation from the Associated Press. Sister stations include WZNB (FM), New Bern at 88.5, WBJD (FM) Atlantic Beach at 91.5, and WKNS (FM) Kinston at 90.3.

New Bern /ˈnjuːbərn/ is a city in Craven County, North Carolina with a population of 29,524 as of the 2010 census. It is located at the confluence of the Trent and the Neuse rivers. The city is 112 miles (180 km) east of Raleigh and 87 miles (140 km) northeast of Wilmington. Formerly an Indian town named Chattoka, New Bern was settled in 1710 as a Swiss immigrant settlement. They named the town after Bern, the capital of Switzerland.
