New Franklin is a city located at the southern edge of Summit County, Ohio, United States, in the northeastern part of the state. It is bounded by Coventry Township, as well as the cities of Barberton and Norton to the north; by Chippewa Township, Wayne County; by Clinton to the southwest; by Green to the east; by Lawrence Township, Stark County to the south. Green High School (Green, Ohio)

Green High School is a public high school in Green, Ohio, just south of Akron, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Green Local Schools district. The school colors are orange and black. The mascot is the bulldog. The fight song is Ohio State's "Across the Field". Green is one of the eight schools who compete in the Suburban League. They joined the league in 1949 as an original member.

Portage Lakes, Ohio

Portage Lakes is a census-designated place (CDP) in Summit County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,870 at the 2000 census. The city of Green is adjacent to the southeast and Akron on the north. The nearby Portage Lakes of the area include but are not limited to Turkeyfoot Lake, Nimisila Reservoir, Mud Lake, and Long Lake. The lakes are connected by a series of "channels". There is a Portage Lakes State Park with boat launching ramps and seasonal beach swimming.

WAKN-LP

WAKN-LP was a low power television station that broadcast Jewelry Television and local programming in Akron, Ohio on Channel 11. Its original designation was W11CB from its inception in 1990 to May 23, 2000 when it was officially changed to WAKN-LP. WAKN has officially been off the air (or, "silent") since November 20, 2005 as noted on their FCC records. The actual date the station went silent however, is unknown. The station's license to operate does not expire until October, 2013.
