Fulton County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 42,698, which is an increase of 1.5% from 42,084 in 2000. Its county seat is Wauseon. Fulton County was created in 1850 with land from Henry, Lucas, and Williams counties and is named for Robert Fulton, inventor of the steamboat. Wauseon is a city in and the county seat of Fulton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,332 at the 2010 census. It was named after Wauseon, a Potawatomi Native American who lived in the area before the founding of the state.
