Gilmore, Ohio

Gilmore is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States south of the village of Gnadenhutten. Gilmore sits on Tuscarawas County Road 10 (Gilmore Road) and is intersected by Tuscarawas County Road 14 (River Hill and Fallen Timber Roads) at Gilmore's square. Gnadenhutten, Ohio

Gnadenhutten is a village located on the Tuscarawas River in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States and is Ohio's oldest existing settlement. The population was 1,288 at the 2010 census. Gnadenhütten (German: huts of grace, proper spelling without umlaut ü is Gnadenhuetten) was founded as a settlement of German Americans and Lenape Native Americans affiliated with the Moravian Church.

Newcomerstown, Ohio

Newcomerstown is a village in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States, 85 miles east-northeast of Columbus. In the late 1770s, this was the largest Lenape village on the Tuscarawas River, with 700 residents. Chief Newcomer (Netawatwes) was the leader of the western Lenape here, and they called the village Gekelmukpechunk. Early European-American traders and settlers named the village Newcomerstown after the chief.
