Woodbourne Forest and Wildlife Preserve

The Woodbourne Forest and Wildlife Preserve is a protected area managed by The Nature Conservancy covering 648 acres in northeastern Pennsylvania. The preserve contains old fields, meadows, creeks, bogs, and forests that are home to a wide variety of animals. These include over 180 species of birds such as Pileated Woodpeckers, Great Horned Owls, and Winter Wrens.

Camp Archbald

Camp Archbald is a Girl Scout camp in Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 230 acres, including a 45-acre lake (Lake Ely). Established in 1920, it is the second oldest Girl Scout Camp in America. (Only Camp Bonnie Brae in Massachusetts has been serving girls longer. ) Camp Archbald falls under the jurisdiction of Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, which operates 11 camp facilities in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.
