Eddystone is a station along the SEPTA Wilmington/Newark Line and Amtrak Northeast Corridor. Amtrak does not stop here, only SEPTA serves this station. Eddystone is a borough in Delaware County. The area of Eddystone is rather historic, home to the Baldwin Locomotive Works, which built 100,000+ steam, diesel, and electric locomotives until the mid-1950s. The station, located at Industrial Highway & Saville Avenue, includes a 12-space parking lot.

Widener University
Widener University is a private, coeducational university located in Chester, Pennsylvania. Its main campus sits on 108 acres (.44 km²), just 14 miles southwest of Philadelphia. The university has three other campuses: two in Pennsylvania and one in Wilmington, Delaware. About 3,300 undergraduates and 3,300 graduate students attend Widener in eight degree-granting schools.

WDNR
WDNR, known as 89.5 Widener University, is a college radio station which broadcasts in the Philadelphia area via a transmitter that covers a 10-mile radius around Chester, PA. WDNR can also be listened to on the internet via an online stream. The station broadcasts a wide variety of music. WDNR currently is run by General Manager Mark Benedetto and his executive staff. 2008 marked the stations 40th Anniversary. WDNR continues to be an important component of Widener University.

Baldwin Locomotive Works
The Baldwin Locomotive Works was an American builder of railroad (railway) locomotives. It was located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, originally, and later in nearby Eddystone, Pennsylvania. Although the company was very successful as a producer of steam locomotives, its transition to the production of diesels was far less so. Later, when the early demand for diesel locomotives to replace steam tapered off, Baldwin could not compete in the marketplace.
