Taylor Memorial Arboretum (30 acres) is an arboretum and garden located at 10 Ridley Drive, Wallingford, Pennsylvania along Ridley Creek. It is open daily. The arboretum includes a grotto (former quarry), millrace and waterfall, and pond with bald cypress. Its collection includes three Pennsylvania State Champion Trees, as well as azaleas, dogwoods, magnolias, junipers, lilacs, viburnums, witch-hazels, Japanese maples, boxwoods, and arborvitae.

Strath Haven High School
Strath Haven High School is a four-year public high school in Wallingford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania serving the Township of Nether Providence and the Boroughs of Rose Valley, Rutledge, and Swarthmore, as well as the communities of South Media, Garden City, and sections of Morton. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association and was awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the Department of Education in 2002. The student body numbers roughly 1200.

WDNR
WDNR, known as 89.5 Widener University, is a college radio station which broadcasts in the Philadelphia area via a transmitter that covers a 10-mile radius around Chester, PA. WDNR can also be listened to on the internet via an online stream. The station broadcasts a wide variety of music. WDNR currently is run by General Manager Mark Benedetto and his executive staff. 2008 marked the stations 40th Anniversary. WDNR continues to be an important component of Widener University.
