Harveys Lake, Pennsylvania

Harveys Lake is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The lake within the borough is the largest natural lake by volume contained entirely in Pennsylvania. The lake was named after Benjamin Harvey, who founded the borough in 1781 and was a member of the Sons of Liberty, an eminent colonial-era group that eventually defeated the notion of Great Britain's Stamp Act. The borough population was 2,791 at the 2010 census.

Lehman Township is a township in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is locally pronounced "LEE-man". The campus of Penn State Wilkes-Barre is located at the Hayfield Farms on Old Route 115 in Lehman Township. The township population was 3,508 at the 2010 census.

Lake-Lehman Junior/Senior High School

Lake Lehman Junior Senior High School in Lehman Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania was created by the merger of a Middle Level Educational Building, which provided an education from grades seven to eight, and a high school, which did the same for grades nine to twelve. The two schools were combined in 2003. The school is located in a rural setting. Most classes consist of 30 or fewer students.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre

Penn State Wilkes-Barre is a commonwealth campus of the Pennsylvania State University. It is located in Back Mountain, Pennsylvania. The Wilkes-Barre Campus can trace its history to 1915 when two top engineers, who were affiliated with Penn State and worked in the coal industry, released a study on the growing need for additional engineers in the region. The next year, faculty from University Park began teaching night classes in the field at an area high school.

Misericordia University

Misericordia University is a four-year, Catholic, co-educational liberal arts university located on a 100-acre campus in Dallas, Pennsylvania, near the cities of Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. It was founded by the Religious Sisters of Mercy on August 15, 1924. The university offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees as well as post-master's and post-bachelor's certificates. On August 24, 2007 Misericordia achieved university status.
