Freedom, Pennsylvania

Freedom is a borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Ohio River 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. In the early years of the twentieth century, the chief industries were the production of oil, caskets, and monuments. In 1900, 1,783 people lived in Freedom; in 1910, 3,060 people lived there. The population was 1,569 at the 2010 census.

Quigley Catholic High School

Quigley Catholic High School is located in Baden, Pennsylvania. It is the only Roman Catholic high school in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The school opened in 1967 and is named for Monsignor Thomas J. Quigley, who was superintendent of schools for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh until his death in 1960.

Conway Yard

Conway Yard is a major rail yard located in Conway, Pennsylvania, 22 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, along the Ohio River. It was the largest freight yard in the world from 1956 through the late 1970s. It is currently owned by Norfolk Southern Railway (NS) and is the second largest yard in the United States.
