Bald Mountain (Pennsylvania)

Bald Mountain is a prominent peak in Lackawanna County which stands above the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton area and the Wyoming Valley. On the summit is an outcrop of Catskill conglomerate (Devonian age) known as the "Pinnacle Rock". From the summit you may view the northernmost extension of the geologic province known as the Glaciated Low Plateaus section. The mountain itself is in the Ridge and Valley Appalachians. It is a great place for photography.

WGGY 101.3 FM, also known as Froggy 101, is a country music radio station that broadcasts out of Scranton, Pennsylvania, the city of license. The station frequency is 101.3 FM, with an in-channel booster in Honesdale, and is repeated on WGGI 95.9 in Benton. Both stations are owned and operated by Entercom Communications. Froggy 101 has received national attention through NBC's hit series The Office because character Dwight Schrute has a Froggy 101 bumper sticker displayed on a file cabinet.

WQPX-TV

WQPX-TV is the Ion Television affiliate for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It is owned and operated by ion Media Networks (the former Paxson Communications). Before WQPX signed on, the station's call sign was WSWB, first used on channel 38 in the early 1980s (before its own sign on) and currently used on that same station today. WQPX operates its digital fill-in translator on UHF channel 49. That translator is run by NextEra Energy Resources in Waymart, PA.
