The Brandywine River Museum is a museum of regional and American art located on U.S. Route 1 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania on the banks of the Brandywine Creek. The museum showcases the art of Andrew Wyeth a major American realist painter, and his family: his father, N.C. Wyeth illustrator of many children’s classics, and his son, Jamie Wyeth a contemporary American realist painter.

Brandywine Wildflower and Native Plant Gardens
The Brandywine Wildflower and Native Plant Gardens are gardens at the Brandywine River Museum, located on U.S. Route 1 beside the Brandywine Creek in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. The gardens were established in 1974 to a design by F. M. Mooberry. In 1979 Lady Bird Johnson dedicated the gardens to Ford B. Draper and Henry A. Thouron for their contributions to the Brandywine Conservancy.

The Christian C. Sanderson Museum, or simply Sanderson Museum, is a museum of historical artifacts in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located in the Chadds Ford Historic District. The items in the museum were collected over many years by Christian C. Sanderson (1882–1966), a teacher, musician, poet, actor, writer, traveler, radio commentator and local historian. The Sanderson Museum was founded in 1967 by his friend and Brandywine artist Andrew Wyeth.

Beaver Valley, Delaware
Beaver Valley is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It is about 7 miles north of Wilmington, almost exactly on the Pennsylvania-Delaware border, where Beaver Valley Road meets Beaver Dam Road. Both roads cross a small tributary of Brandywine Creek nearby. A small cave, known as the "Beaver Valley Cave," "Beaver Valley Rock Shelter" or "Delaware's Only Cave" is nearby.

John Roach & Sons was a major 19th-century American shipbuilding and manufacturing firm founded in 1864 by Irish-American immigrant John Roach. Between 1871 and 1885, the company was the largest shipbuilding firm in the United States, building more iron ships than its next two major competitors combined. It was also by far the largest contractor to the U.S. Navy during this period, and at its peak is said to have been the nation's largest employer behind the railroads.
