Wattsburg is along the banks of French Creek (Allegheny River). Incorporated in 1833, Wattsburg was once a thriving stagecoach center.

Amity Township is a township in Erie County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,140 at the 2000 census. There are no longer any boroughs or villages in the township, after the disappearance of Arbuckle and Hatch Hollow. The latter is the birthplace of famed muckracker Ida M. Tarbell, who was born in her grandfather's log cabin in Hatch Hollow in 1857.
