Quonochontaug, Rhode Island

Quonochontaug is composed of three small beach communities in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA. Located between two salt ponds, Ninigret Pond and Quonochontaug Pond, and their respective barrier beaches, the communities of West Beach, Central Beach, and East Beach house several hundred mostly summer residents. Today, many houses are available as summer rentals.

Weekapaug, Rhode Island

Weekapaug is a small fire district in southern Washington County, Rhode Island. It is part of the town of Westerly, Rhode Island, and is a small beachfront community that is also a census-designated place. Weekapaug lies in the Eastern Time Zone and observes daylight saving time. Weekapaug has many private roads running through it and isn't as well known as neighboring Watch Hill, Rhode Island. It has had summer cottages since 1877. Weekapaug was known as Noyes Beach from 1701 to 1899.

Watchaug Pond

Watchaug pond is a kettle pond (lake) located at the southern tip of Rhode Island, in the town of Charlestown. It is surrounded by nature trails and is near the Audubon Society's Kimball Wildlife Refuge. The 573-acre pond is within 3,000 acres of public land. To access the public cement boat ramp at this pond, follow Prosser Trail to Sanctuary Road.
