Mount Pleasant Regional Airport, also known as Faison Field, is a public airport located 9 nmi northeast of the central business district of Mount Pleasant, a town in Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. It is owned by the Charleston County Aviation Authority. It was formerly the East Cooper Airport. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned LRO by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

James B. Edwards Bridge

The James B. Edwards Bridge is a pair of pre-cast concrete box girder bridges that span the Wando River between Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island. It was built in 1989 by the South Carolina Department of Transportation. The bridge is named for James B. Edwards, who was a governor of South Carolina, Secretary of Energy, and long-time president of the Medical University of South Carolina. The bridge was constructed of pre-cast concrete segments using top-down construction.

Family Circle Tennis Center

Family Circle Tennis Center is a tennis center on Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina. Built in 2001, the center has 17 courts, including the 10,200-seat Family Circle Magazine Stadium. It annually hosts the WTA Tour's Family Circle Cup. The Hootie & the Blowfish album Live in Charleston was recorded there on August 15, 2005.

The Family Circle Cup is a WTA Tour affiliated professional tennis tournament for women, held every year since 1973. It is the oldest professional women's tournament with a $750,000 purse. Wando High School

Wando High School is a high school in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Home of the Wando Warriors, the school was re-built in 2004 to accommodate the town's rapid growth during the 1990s. It is the largest high school in the state of South Carolina. Located now on 1000 Warrior Way off Highway 17. Wando offers over 250 classes, including Advanced placement, Dual Credit, Honors, College Preparatory, and Applied Technology courses.
