Buchanan, Tennessee

Buchanan is an unincorporated community in Henry County, Tennessee. Locals pronounce the name (Buckanan). It is located about six miles west of Paris Landing State Park, which is located on the Tennessee River on the west bank of Kentucky Lake. Buchanan was originally founded in the 1840s and was named after United States President James Buchanan. As of 2008, the community has a post office, feed mill, a volunteer fire station, two churches, a Masonic hall and several houses.

Big Sandy River (Tennessee)

The Big Sandy River is a 60-mile-long tributary of the Tennessee River in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Via the Tennessee and Ohio rivers, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. The Big Sandy rises about 5 miles northwest of Lexington, in the same vicinity as two other important rivers of West Tennessee, the Beech River and the Middle Fork of the Forked Deer River. From near its source downstream, much of the Big Sandy River has been channelized.

Calloway County, Kentucky

Calloway County, founded in November 1822 and named for Colonel Richard Callaway, one of the founders of Boonesborough, is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2010, the population was 37,191. Its county seat is Murray, Kentucky. As of July 18, 2012 Calloway County is a limited dry county, the sale of alcohol in the county is prohibited. Only in the city of Murray is it legal.

Richmond Residential College
