San Isidro, Texas

San Isidro is a census-designated place (CDP) in Starr County, Texas, United States. The population was 270 at the 2000 census. The town is named for St. Isidore the Laborer, the patron saint of farmers. A large Southwestern Barrel Cactus growing just east of town is said to be the largest in Texas.

San Manuel-Linn, Texas

San Manuel-Linn is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States of America. The population was 958 at the 2000 census. It is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2010, San Manuel-Linn was designated the "safest place in Texas" because no crimes whatsoever were committed in the town known to its inhabitants as "sage brush city."

KCAS

KCAS is a non-commercial educational radio station licensed to serve McCook, Texas. McCook is a "dispersed rural community" about 20 miles northwest of the county seat, Edinburg, in Hidalgo County, Texas. The station is owned and operated by Faith Baptist Ministries and the broadcast license is held by Faith Baptist Church, Inc. KCAS broadcasts a religious radio format to the McAllen, Texas, and the Rio Grande Valley. News programming on KCAS is provided by the USA Radio Network.

Rachal, Texas

Rachal is an unincorporated community in south central Brooks County, Texas, United States. It is located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and FM 755, approximately twenty-one miles south of Falfurrias. The community was established in 1913 and was named for E.R. Rachal, the first Brooks County tax assessor. Today, it exists as a dispersed community of nearly forty residents and a few businesses.
