Hutchinson County is named for Andrew Hutchinson, an early Texas attorney. The Borger Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Hutchinson County. The history of Hutchinson County is accented in downtown Borger in the Hutchinson County Historical Museum, also known as Boomtown Revisited.
