Socorro, Texas

Socorro is a city in El Paso County, Texas, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 27,152. By the 2010 census, the number had grown to 32,013. It is part of the El Paso Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was reactivated in 1986 and has been a working city since then. It has a council manager type of government with five city council members.

El Paso Ysleta Port of Entry

The El Paso Ysleta Port of Entry, is located at the Ysleta–Zaragoza International Bridge. It was established when the first bridge was built at this location in 1938. The bridge was rebuilt in 1955, and again in 1990. The current border insepection station was also constructed at that time.

The Ysleta–Zaragoza International Bridge is an international crossing consisting of two international bridges which crosses the Rio Grande (Río Bravo) connecting the United States-Mexico border cities of El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. The bridge is also known as "Zaragoza Bridge", "Puente Zaragoza" and "Puente Ysleta-Zaragoza".

Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (also Tigua Pueblo) is a Puebloan Native American tribal entity in the Ysleta section of El Paso, Texas, comprising a formerly Southern Tiwa-speaking people who were displaced from New Mexico in 1680 and 1681 during the Pueblo Revolt against the Spaniards.

Magic Landing

Magic Landing was a theme park located in El Paso, Texas. It opened July 4, 1984 and closed mid season of 1988. Magic Landing was one of two amusement parks operating in El Paso during the 1980s. The other amusement park was Western Playland. Magic Landing opened its doors to the public in the summer of 1984. 30,000 people attended the opening on July 4, 1984.
