Mary Ann Angell

Mary Ann Angell Young (June 8, 1803–June 27, 1882) was the second woman married to Latter Day Saint leader Brigham Young. They were married on March 31, 1834. Young's first wife, Miriam Angeline Works, had died on September 8, 1832. With the permission of Mary, Young began practicing plural marriage in 1842 when he married Lucy Ann Decker. The daughter of James and Phoebe Morton Angell, she was born in Seneca, Ontario County, New York.

Woodruff-Riter-Stewart Home

The Woodruff-Riter-Stewart Home is a mansion on Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City, Utah. It sits on the corner of State Street and 200 North on the south slope of Capitol Hill. Originally built for Edward D. Woodruff, a Union Pacific doctor who partnered a successful laundry business, the home was designed by architects Headlund and Wood and was finished in 1906. The home is an example of Renaissance architecture.

Lion House (Salt Lake City)

The Lion House is a large residence built by Brigham Young, second President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1856 to accommodate members of his enormous family. A polygamist, Young ultimately fathered 57 biological children by more than two dozen wives, and had many adopted, foster, and stepchildren too. He owned residences throughout Salt Lake City and the Utah Territory, but many of his wives and children were housed in The Lion House.

Alfred McCune Home

The Alfred McCune Home is one of the mansions on Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City, Utah, from around the turn of the 20th century. Built for Alfred W. McCune on the inclined south side of Capitol Hill at the northeast corner of 200 North and Main Street, the mansion has 21 rooms and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was built in 1900.
