It lies along local roads north of State Route 121, north of the city of Vernal, the county seat of Uintah County. Uintah Basin Medical Center
The Uintah Basin Medical Center is a hospital in Roosevelt, Utah. It was established in 1944 as the LDS Roosevelt Hospital, but when The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints divested itself from its healthcare services in 1975, Duchesne County assumed ownership of the facility and it became known as Duchesne County Hosptial. In 1993 the name changed to the current Uintah Basin Medical Center.
