Promontory in Box Elder County, Utah, United States, is notable as the location of Promontory Summit where the United States' Transcontinental Railroad was officially completed on May 10, 1869. It is at an elevation of 4,902 feet above sea level. Promontory is 32 mi west of Brigham City, Utah and 66 mi northwest of Salt Lake City, and north of the Great Salt Lake.

Golden spike

The "Golden Spike" (also known as "The Last Spike") is the ceremonial final spike driven by Leland Stanford to join the rails of the First Transcontinental Railroad across the United States connecting the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Summit, Utah Territory.

KNIV

KNIV is a radio station broadcasting a regional Mexican format. Licensed to Lyman, Wyoming, USA, it serves the Salt Lake City area. The station is currently owned by Simmons Media Group.
