Charterhouse of the Transfiguration

The Charterhouse of the Transfiguration is the only Carthusian monastery in the USA, located on Mt. Equinox, outside Arlington, Vermont. The 7,000-acre property was donated by Joseph George Davidson, a retired Union Carbide Corporation executive. The charterhouse was designed by architect Victor Christ-Janer & Associates of New Canaan, Connecticut, and fabricated of Vermont granite blocks.

WEQX

WEQX is an FM radio station located at 102.7 MHz and broadcasting from Manchester, Vermont, USA with an effective radiated power of 1,250 watts at 759 meters (Equivalent to 50,000 watts at 150 meters). Their tower is located on nearby Equinox Mountain. Because of its location and power the station is able to reach Albany-Schenectady-Troy (while distantly), Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls along with southern and central Vermont, western Massachusetts, and western New Hampshire.

Hildene

Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home located in Manchester in the U.S. state of Vermont, was the summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln and his wife Mary Harlan Lincoln. He was the eldest son of President Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln and the only child of the president to live to adulthood. Robert Todd Lincoln first visited Manchester, Vermont at age 20 in the summer of 1863 when he, his brother Tad, and their mother stayed at the nearby Equinox House to escape the heat of Washington.
