Episcopal High School (Alexandria, Virginia)
Episcopal High School (also The High School, or Episcopal), founded in 1839, is a private boarding school located in Alexandria, Virginia. The Holy Hill's 130-acre campus houses 435 students from 30 states, the District of Columbia and 17 different countries. The school is 100-percent boarding and is one of only four all-boarding schools in the United States and the only one located in a metropolitan area.

Fort Reynolds (Virginia)
Fort Reynolds was a Union Army redoubt built as part of the defenses of Washington, D.C. , in the American Civil War. The fort was located in Fairlington, Arlington County, Virginia. It was constructed in September 1861 to command the approach to Alexandria by the Four Mile Run valley and was itself protected by nearby Battery Garesche. It had a perimeter of 360 yards (329 m) and emplacements for 12 guns.

T. C. Williams High School is a public high school in Alexandria, Virginia, named after former superintendent Thomas Chambliss Williams of Alexandria City Public Schools who served from the mid-1930s to the mid-1960s. It is located near the geographic center of the city, at 3330 King Street and is referred to informally as "T.C. " (rather than "Williams") by students, faculty and locals. Approximately 2,100 students from grades 10–12 are enrolled at T.C.

Thornton Friends School was a 6-12 Quaker school with three campuses, two in Silver Spring, Maryland, U.S.A. , and one in Alexandria, Virginia in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Alexandria campus continues to operate as Alexandria Friends School. Alexandria Friends School (AFS) is a private, non-profit Friends "Quaker" middle and high school (grades 6-12) located at 3830 Seminary Road in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. It was founded in 2006 by faculty and staff from Thornton Friends School's Alexandria campus, which closed at the end of the 2005-2006 school year. The school will temporarily close its high school in 2012 and accept applicants for 6th and 7th grade only for the 2012-2013 school year.
