Thomas Dale High School is a public school located in Chester, an unincorporated community in Chesterfield County, Virginia, United States. It was named for Sir Thomas Dale, a 17th century leader in the Virginia Colony. The high school is operated by the local school division, Chesterfield County Public Schools. Thomas Dale High School is often referred to as "Thomas Jail" due to the many strict rules students have to abide by.

Battle of Proctor's Creek
The Battle of Proctor's Creek, also known as Drewry's Bluff or Fort Darling, was fought May 12–16, 1864, in Chesterfield County, Virginia, during the Bermuda Hundred Campaign of the American Civil War. Proctor's Creek was named for Charles Proctor, who lived and farmed on the land surrounding most of the creek.
