Richmond International Raceway

Richmond International Raceway (RIR) is a 3/4-mile (1.2 km), D-shaped, asphalt race track located just outside Richmond, Virginia in Henrico County. It hosts the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series. "America's Premier Short Track" formerly hosted a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, an IZOD IndyCar Series race, and two United States Auto Club sprint car races. Richmond International Raceway is one of a few race tracks to host all of its events under the lights.

Henrico High School

Henrico High School is a high school located just outside the Richmond city line in Henrico County, Virginia and operated by the Henrico County Public Schools. It is unique among Henrico County High Schools in that it has two specialty centers—the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years/Diploma Program and the Center for the Arts Program (CFA). It is one of the oldest schools in Henrico County, and it has a highly diverse student population.

Battle of Meadow Bridge

The Battle of Meadow Bridge (also known as Meadow Bridges and the Battle of Richmond Heights) was an engagement on May 12, 1864, in Henrico County, Virginia, during Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant's Overland Campaign of the American Civil War. Following their victory at the Battle of Yellow Tavern on May 11, Union cavalry under Maj. Gen. Philip H. Sheridan advanced in the direction of the Confederate capital of Richmond.
