Chesapeake Regional Airport is a public use airport located in the city of Chesapeake, Virginia and serving the Hampton Roads area. The airport is 12 nautical miles (22 km) south of the central business district of Norfolk, Virginia. It is owned by the Chesapeake Airport Authority. Tidewater Flight Center is located on site. Hickory High School (Virginia)

Hickory High School is a high school in Chesapeake, Virginia. There are approximately 2,100 students. The school's mascot is a hawk and the school colors are teal, grey, white, and black. Due to the overwhelming amount of students, a new school, Grassfield High School, has been built nearby. The Hickory High School band program is among the finest in the Commonwealth. The band program, under the direction of David Enloe, has been named a Virginia Honor Band every year they were eligible.

Hickory Middle School

Hickory Middle School (HMS) is a public secondary school located at 1997 Hawk Blvd. in the southeastern city of Chesapeake, Virginia. The principal is Dr. Debbie Hutchens. The school colors are Teal, Gray, Black, White. The mascot is the Hawk. Hickory is the second largest public middle school in the state of Virginia, which nearly 2,000 students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade call their school.
