Carrsville, Virginia

Carrsville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Isle of Wight County in the Hampton Roads region of southeastern Virginia in the United States. The population as of the 2010 Census was 359. Carrsville was located on the Portsmouth and Roanoke Railroad, built through the area in the mid-1830s to provide a link between the Roanoke River and the port areas of Norfolk and Portsmouth. The railroad is now part of CSX Transportation.

Franklin Municipal-John Beverly Rose Airport, also known as Franklin Municipal Airport or John Beverly Rose Field is a public airport in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, United States. The airport is owned by the City of Franklin and is located at 32470 John Beverly Rose Drive, two nautical miles (4 km) northeast of the city's central business district.

Zion Christian Church, Suffolk, Virginia

Zion Christian Church was founded just after the American Civil War. The African American families in the community erected a bush shelter, on the present site. Rev. Robert Holland, the white pastor of Holy Neck Christian, preached once a month. Eventually, A log cabin was erected and Rev. Justin Copeland was called to be the first pastor. In 1867, the church, now named Zion Christian Church, was chartered. The present edifice was erected in 1907 and has been renovated many times.
